Hugo Pratt, horizons lines
Exhibition from April 7, 2018 to March 24, 2019
Museum of Confluences, Lyon
Immerse yourself in the world of Hugo Pratt, an artist who left a lasting impression on the comic books landscape by giving birth to Corto Maltese, the romantic sailor, the perfect embodiment of the anti-hero, but also to many other impressing characters.
Like Corto, Hugo Pratt lived intensely: travels, readings and meetings, in all countries of the world, forgotten cultures and in time. Themes that are as many stopovers in a long-term exhibition route; immersive, almost initiatory. From the “Great Canadian North” to the “Great Ocean” through Africa, the Amazon, pre-Columbian America, this “cartoon literature”, open to the world, dialogue with the ethnographic objects of collections, those drawn by Pratt, presented in the exhibition.

From an original concept developed by Cong and the Museum of Confluences. In partnership with Arte, France Culture, Le Figaro magazine and France 3 Auvergne Rhône Alpes. The curators are Patricia Zanotti, colorist of the works of Pratt and her collaborator and Michel Pierre, historian and friend of Pratt, who has published several works including the magnificent “The women of Corto Maltese” Casterman, 1994.

Valuable info. Lucky me I found your site by accident, and I’m shocked why this accident didn’t happened earlier! I bookmarked it.

Nice post. I study one thing more difficult on different blogs everyday. It’ll always be stimulating to read content material from different writers and observe just a little one thing from their store. I’d desire to make use of some with the content on my weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your internet blog. Thanks for sharing.

Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Thank you
