The excellent book by Dino Aloi, “Ma cos’è questa carta? Appunti per un’indagine metodologica su caricature, umorismo, satira e fumetto” (“But what is that piece of paper? Notes for a methodological inquiry on caricature, humour, satire and graphic novels”) ​​is now available. Dino Aloi, member of the Scientific Council of the LIBREXPRESSION center and director of the IL Pennino publishing house, as well as the webmagazine Buduàr is also a cartoonist. For more than 35 years Dino Aloi has devoted himself to the study, history and promotion of satirical cartoons. Graduated in semiology, he published over 200 books and edited about 300 exhibitions dedicated to the theme of humour and satire since 1981. Member of France-Cartoons, he is also the Editor of the newspaper www.buduar.it and has exhibited his drawings in national and international exhibitions. In 1992, he founded Il Pennino publishing house that deals with cartoons and caricature. It is this experience that he makes available to everyone with this full-bodied book (464 pages), taking up texts published during these years of hard work and study.

The path followed by the author allows not only to discover the rich history of caricature and political satire, but also to propose subtle analysis, to discover all the sociological, social and political wealth and the multiple aspects of humour and satire.
