It is worth noting that the United Nations has allocated 15 October each year as the International Day of the White Stick“, as the sign of the blind. This was at the direction of the World Blind Council. The United Nations issued a statement that this day will be the International Day of the “White Stick”.  The aim of this day is to support this group, to consider their needs, and to highlight the latest developments in the field of vision from devices and innovations, as well as to address the achievements and energies of this category amid calls for their integration into society, and concerted efforts between the civil and official sides to achieve this.
